The first accelerator meeting will be on Tuesday, September 29, 2026.
Requirements & preferred applicants:
- Participants should be located in Interior Alaska.
- Participants should be able to attend weekly meetings in-person or online.
- Preference will be given to businesses that are in early stages of operation.
- Applications are open to aspiring entrepreneurs, but preference will be given to currently operating businesses.
Schedule:
Accelerator meetings are held once per week for eight weeks on Tuesdays, 5:30pm-7:30pm at the UAF Community College and Technical Center (UAF CTC) in downtown Fairbanks and at the North Pole Welcoming Center.
The Fall 2026 Cohort will run every Tuesday from September 29th – November 17th.
Course Description:
This course is primarily designed for business owners in the early stages of their business and those that have developed an idea and are ready to launch their business. Some topics covered in the accelerator are the development of a mission and vision statement, a business model canvas, marketing, leading and managing a team, forms of business ownership, funding, and how to develop a pitch to potential investors. There is a one-time $75 fee to participate in the program. This $75 covers all 8 weeks, as well as course materials provided by the organizers. It also funds the prize pool for the end of session Pitch Competition. The course fee must be paid on or before the first session of the Fall Cohort – September 29, 2026.
